TVR Tuscan 4.0 MK1 – 2001 Y-Reg – 38,800 miles. – Full engine rebuild at Str8six (29k).
Silver with black leather and carpets – Lovely Condition.
Stunning car, that’s just arrived back with us and is in very good condition with a nice tight lines with body and panel fit.
The chassis is beautiful along with recent shocks and a very tidy engine bay. (See the photos).
The chassis has only been waxoiled on the outriggers with a clear finish, It’s so clean we’d be loathed to do anymore than that to it until the new owner has bought it and they can make that choice.
New shocks were fitted by Mat Smith just a few thousand miles ago. Powers Performance found the front ride height was slightly too high back in 2016 and the car had a full 3hr Geo.
Drives really well and pulls like a train. Very smooth and has the cats fitted so noisy but civilised. Unlike so many this one also sits on the road well and looks all up and together.
A few chips on the nose and slight marks around the roof as is almost standard, but we’re being picky as the car looks sharp in silver and we’d say that it’s best left as is at this time. Paintwork to the nose can be done for an additional cost if required for the next owner. Best viewed.
Alloys have had a refurbishment from silver to anthracite and look perfect on the car.
The car has had the bonnet conversion upgrade carried out in the last 2yrs as well.
Plus a new Cobra 4138 remote alarm upgrade, and alloy rear window clips.
We sold the car at 35,000 miles in the summer of 2016 to the previous owner, and at that time the car went into Powers Performance for a once over and check up. £800 was spent on various small jobs including throttle bodies set-up, lambda sensor, full geo and a few new items such a gear and handbrake gaiters. Since then PPC in Melton have been looking after the car and have kept on top of it, including a full 12k and valve clearance service in March 2017 at 36,757 miles.

The bodywork is in very good condition bar the odd small chip to the nose. More importantly the panel fit and condition is spot on and the car looks sharp and reflects the care and attention that the previous owners and Mat Smith Sports Cars have lavished upon this car.
The interior of the car also remains in super condition with the black leather looking very fresh and unworn, and carpets as you can see are not in anyway faded or uneven in colour.
The switchgear and aluminium trim on the console and dash is unmarked and the dash bright.
A very nice example indeed.
The engine and chassis on this car are pristine. Clearly this car has always been treated very well over the last 17yrs. However we know that the previous, previous owner spent a great deal of time detailing the engine bay when the engine was out having a rebuild in late 2014 and made various improvements including additional heat shielding around the exhaust area.
The chassis looks almost new on the car.
